The democratic aspect of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the National Association of Disc Jockeys is now underway. The nomination papers have been posted out to all full NADJ members. These documents are also available on the main NADJ website (www.nadj.org.uk) in the ‘Members’ section of the site. Visitors to the site must be logged in to see the ‘Members’ section on the left side of the web page. All full NADJ members are encouraged to nominate candidates for the elected positions of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. Please note that the conditions of NADJ membership include up-to-date subscriptions, PAT test documents and proof of PLI. Nominations can only be made by full members of the Association and membership status will be verified before a nomination will be brought forward. Mark Davies kindly agreed to take up the role of Acting Secretary, following the resignation of Colin Cook earlier this year. The NADJ Committee would like to thank and acknowledge the time and energy Mr Cook spent on fulfilling the duties and acting as an ambassador of the NADJ while he was Secretary. Mr Davies has stated that he does not wish to take up the position as Secretary at the AGM on Sunday 25th April 2010 and this role must be filled by an elected officer. NADJ Chairman, Mark Porley, has indicated that he would like to continue in his role for a second term of office. Steve Sansom, NADJ Treasurer, has also indicated that he would continue in his role. However, it is up to the membership to nominate and vote on any of the elected positions within the Association. To date, there have been no proposals from the membership to make amendments to the Constitution and if this remains the case, it will remain intact.
