It was announced in Pro Mobile magazine that Paul Arnett has taken up the vacant position of Branch Development Officer. However, the other bit of good news is that Darren Tipples has just taken on the task of Benefits Officer. For those of you who do not know about Paul, he played an instrumental part in the successful running of DJ Show North and he is spearheading the NADJ Yorkshire Branch Meetings. The work that Paul has put in for the NADJ has been immense and we are proud to have him working even closer with the Association. Paul is working on an information pack for members who wish to start up an NADJ branch in their area. It is always a difficult task trying to get DJs to get together to network and not many people want to take up the challenge of starting a branch in their area. Cries of not having any spare time are a common complaint, but they are more than willing to reap the benefits if someone else does the legwork. The NADJ will never be able to stamp out the empathy towards getting more involved with the Association they are a part of. However, we need NADJ members to take up a more pro-active stance to further the challenges that the organisation is facing. We can only do that with your help! So, please get in touch if you would like to promote the NADJ in your area. Meanwhile, Darren has jumped into the Benefits Officer role with vigour and he is already working closely with a company that offers a service to DJs that can help boost their business and also give customers a better level of service. More on that in the very near future - watch this space! Darren has asked for your feedback on what benefits you would like to see put in place. Examples include exclusive discount codes for disco suppliers to special offers on PAT testing. It has always been a tough job of trying to get benefits that appeal to NADJ members and there will always be people who say that they don’t want the benefits that are in place. Therefore, if you have any thoughts on this matter, please get in touch with the NADJ through the main website (www.nadj.org.uk).
