ProDub To Attend NADJ AGM & Tradeshow |
|
Many NADJ members will recall that a few years ago, representatives from the NADJ and other organisations worked tirelessly (and in some cases, thanklessly) with PRS for Music to get the best deal possible on the ProDub License.
Darren Haynes, Marketing Manager for PRS for Music, was given the task of implementing the license and he attended one of the first public meetings with DJs over the license. This seminar took place at the NADJ AGM & Tradeshow 2008 and it drew in the crowds.
The good news is that the ProDub team will be returning to the AGM & Tradeshow this year. Darren Haynes will be manning the stand in the seminar area and his colleague, Tom Weller, Business Development Manager, will be conducting one of the seminars. The ProDub seminar will be another opportunity for DJs to find out about the license and also ask any questions relating to the controversial scheme. The license has always been an area of contention between DJs and the music royalty collection agencies. The PRS for Music team have attended other exhibitions and have fielded enquiries from individuals, but this will be one of the rare chances for DJs to hear what they have to say and also voice their questions or concerns en mass.
