I initially started DJing to help pay my way through College while completing a diploma in Media Studies and then onto a BA (Honours) Journalism degree at University.
I started off my DJ career on the bottom rung of the ladder in the pubs and clubs in my home town, but I loved the job so much that I decided to take to the path of becoming a full-time DJ. |

My name is Steve Sansom and I'm the N.A.D.J. Treasurer, a position which I've held for the last few years. I profess to being one of the old guard from the Thames Valley Disc Jockey Association on the committee so it is really exciting to see it evolve into the National Association it is now.
I have been dj-ing since 1994 around the South East and music-wise I prefer house music and some of your cheesy 1990s dance music that is getting sampled these days. |
Robbie is a professional DJ with a vast experience in the industry, keeping up to date with technology and adapting his shows to fit all types of function. He has been in the music business since he was a teenager, starting as a drummer. He grew up in a family of entertainers and spent his formative years back stage with his family. |

I can remember DJ-ing from as early as 13 years old, when I entertained friends & neighbors at small gatherings. I was always fascinated by the equipment & technology and even remember running my own radio shows from my bedroom, with my brother next door as the only listener! Throughout my time at school I DJ'd at school events and picked up work for friends, whilst continuing to grow popular as the "only DJ in the village"!!

I have been a DJ for nearly 20 years and have a keen interest in both the music and the industry as a whole. I have been an active member of the NADJ for 4 years and have been a proactive member of the committee for nearly a year as the Membership & Benefits Officer.
My experience as a DJ is for the Corporate/Mobile/Wedding Market and I feel that my personal experience and expertise is an invaluable contribution to raising the profile of the National Association of Disc Jockeys. Please Note: Mark Porley has temporarily stepped down as NADJ Chairman following a recent bereavement. John Forbes has been appointed Acting NADJ Chairman until Mark Porley returns to office. |

Nick Burrett took over the role of Benefits Officer from Darren Tipples who worked hard to bring in new discounts and deals for NADJ members. This includes the £10m PLI policy that comes as a benefit of joining the Association and some of the member-only offers on the website.
Nick is also playing an active part in setting up regular meetings in the Somerset area. |
